Rocket Salad With Bramble Fruits

Last weekend, we were in Bavaria, the south of Germany. We have visited one of my long time best friends. We were in her and her husbands birthday party. It was fun as I met a lot of Filipinas. It was a wonderful party with plenty of Filipino as well as Chinese and German food to eat. We ate as well as danced and sung with the karaoke. The next day before my hubby and I went home, I harvested some of the bramble fruits hanging in the garden of my friend. Boy, the brambles were so inviting that I was not resisting picking and eating some of the sour fruits. My friend helped me harvesting and I had plenty of those brambles with me going home. The next day I put some of the brambles in my rocket salad for our lunch. Below is the recipe.

Rocket Salad With Bramble Fruits Ingredients:

  • 100 g. Rocket leaves, washed
  • 50 g. Feta, crumbled
  • 4 pieces ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 handful of bramble berries, washed
  • 1 tbsp. parsley
  • 1 tbsp. chives
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. balsamico vinegar
  • 1 pinch ginger powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 pieces of fried Nürnberger / Nuernberger sausages, sliced

Rocket Salad with Bramble Fruits

How To:
  1. Mix the olive oil, balsamico vinegar, parsley, chives, ginger, salt and pepper well in a bowl.
  2. Then add the rocket leaves, the tomatoes, crumbled Feta and  sliced sausages well.
  3. Then add the bramble fruits in the mixture. Carefully mix them in the salad.
  4. Serve with boiled rice and some fried Nürnberger sausages.
  5. This food serves 2-4 persons.

Tips:

  • Sprinkle sugar on the bramble fruits if you don´t like it sour.
  • You can serve pasta instead of boiled rice.
  • You can serve the rocket salad with brambles alone or with bread like baguette.
  • If you don´t have this sausage, you can use chicken flakes or other meat you want.
                                                   ENJOY YOUR MEAL!!!
